Russian silver-gilt frame with original photograph of Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich (1847-1909).

The frame by Samuel Arnd, St. Petersburg, circa 1880. The oval aperture with a polished bezel, the reverse fitted with a shaped strut and suspension ring, both strut and back cover struck with maker’s mark, hall mark for St. Petersburg and 84 zolotnik silver fineness standard.
