Peter I Alexeyevich, Peter the Great (1672-1725), Tsar (1682) and the the first ruler to take the title Emperor of All Russia (1721). He is shown in the uniform of the Preobrazhensky Life Guards Regiment.

Louis Caravaque (Marseilles 1684 – St. Petersburg 1754) was invited to Russia by Peter the Great. He lived and worked in St. Petersburg from 1716.
